About Sabina Morin

I have devoted my entire life to art and design, but my love for clay was awakened at the age of 14 during an art class. Almost instantly a woman’s face took shape in my hands and I instinctively understood that this was a material I was meant to work with. My teacher recognized my sense of form and encouraged me to hold my first exhibition in Copenhagen.

At the same time an interest in product development has always been a central part of my creative work. At 24 I moved to London to study design, which marked the beginning of a career in the fashion industry. For nearly six years I worked in an international and fast-paced environment before returning to Malmö where I continued my journey in fashion for another five years.

But the longing for a more direct and tactile way of creating grew stronger over time. When I returned to clay it felt like coming home and creativity flowed freely again and form once more became my natural language.

In the summer of 2023 I chose to fully follow this direction and opened my studio in central Malmö.

Today I run three studios, each reflecting my entire creative universe. The clay studio is a living meeting place where passionate hobby ceramists gather and create every day. Next door is the course studio a space for stillness presence and creative depth. In my production studio my own works take shape from the first intuitive gesture to finished ceramics.

At the core of everything I do is a desire to create timeless expressions where the rawness of the material is allowed to take center stage forms grow organically and the color palette is drawn from the muted tones of nature itself.
